The defendant, Michael Arnold, was convicted by a jury of burglary, a Class A felony, Ind. Code Â§ 35-43-2-1 (Burns 1983 Supp.), robbery, a Class A felony, Ind. Code Â§ 35-42-5-1 (Burns 1983 Supp.), and four counts of criminal confinement, Class B felonies, Ind. Code Â§ 35-42-3-3 (Burns 1983 Supp.). He was sentenced to the Indiana Department of Correction for concurrent terms of thirty years each on the burglary and robbery convictions and ten years on each of the criminal confinement convictions. In this direct appeal, he has raised fifteen issues which we have combined into the following nine issues:
